i want to do beautiful things but things that don’t concern you. and i can only write when i am sleep-deprived and only at night, but lately i have been sleep-deprived and cannot make it past 12am.
warm winter sunlight in the kitchen
shy shadows in the corner
the angle won’t allow any coaxing
there is always that one corner
only touched by the artificial
fluorescent, unscented, scorning
light
i cannot wait for the weekend. there’s something about standing in the brightest room of the morning. wriggling your toes while waiting for the warmth to sink in. just letting the minutes pass as life begins to stir.
